Arena Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern access to Arena2Connect through the website, Web Chat, SMS, Telegram, WhatsApp and any other supported channel. They also cover accounts, gameplay, tournaments, creator tools, the Arena Marketplace, Arena Coach, Arena Clubhouse, Pitch Credits, Arena Passes, Telco/VAS subscriptions, leaderboards, prizes, newsletters and public match features.
1. The Service
Arena2Connect ("Arena", "we", "us" or "our") is a football simulation and competition platform controlled through conversational commands. Depending on availability and your account, you may play against Arena AI, challenge another player, practise, enter tournaments, create tournaments, follow fixtures, comment as a spectator, join Tournament Talk around fixtures, appear on leaderboards, purchase Pitch Credits or Marketplace access, hire Arena Coach, participate in the Arena Clubhouse, and receive service or promotional communications.
Arena is an entertainment service. Unless expressly stated in separate competition rules, Arena does not accept bets on real-world football events and does not guarantee that participation will produce a prize, financial return or any particular result.
2. Eligibility and authority
You must be legally capable of accepting these Terms. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you, supervise your use, and approve any paid subscription, wallet purchase, creator-funded tournament or prize claim. We may restrict paid or reward features where age, identity, regulatory or payout verification is required.
If you use Arena for an organisation, sponsor, school, employer, community, Telco partner or tournament organiser, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation and comply with applicable laws and internal approvals.
3. Accounts, verification and security
- Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- Use only a phone number, email address, channel identity and payout account that you are authorised to use.
- Protect passwords, verification codes, onboarding links and devices. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you promptly report unauthorised access.
- One person must not create or coordinate multiple accounts to gain extra entries, allowances, rewards, votes, credits or leaderboard positions.
- We may require email, phone, Telco callback, identity, bank-account or other verification before enabling features or paying a reward.
Account statuses may include pending, active and suspended. A suspended account may be unable to log in, play, enter competitions, receive rewards or use purchased access while an investigation or restriction remains in force.
4. Web Chat, SMS, Telegram, WhatsApp and other channels
Your Arena identity may be linked across supported channels. Commands sent through any linked channel can affect the same account, wallet, match, tournament entry and history. Charges imposed by your mobile network, messaging provider or internet provider are separate from Arena charges.
Third-party channels control delivery, storage and deletion of messages on their systems. The Web Chat CLEAR function clears the visible Web Chat conversation for the account but does not erase match records, transaction records, anti-fraud evidence, public commentary already generated, or records we must retain for legal and operational purposes. Closing the Web Chat does not necessarily end an active match.
Channel delays, duplicate delivery, provider outages or late commands may occur. Arena will apply the game state recorded by the server and may reject commands received after a turn, invitation or fixture deadline.
5. Gameplay, match engine and automated decisions
Match events are produced by player commands, timing, team or player attributes, competition settings and Arena's automated game engine. Random or probabilistic elements may be used. A stronger input or higher rating does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Rules displayed for a game, tournament, season or fixture form part of these Terms. They may include turn limits, inactivity timeouts, permitted commands, AI difficulty, qualifying criteria, tie-break rules and consequences for disconnection or non-response.
Group-stage matches may end in a draw. Knockout matches use the configured decider, which may include extra time, penalties and sudden death, until a winner is produced. The recorded server result is authoritative, subject to correction of a confirmed technical or administrative error.
Practice and casual matches may not count towards allowances, leaderboards or rewards. A game marked as reward-qualifying may become casual where eligibility, verification, daily limits, season limits, difficulty, subscription status, anti-farming rules or reward suspension requirements are not met.
6. Tournament participation
Tournament pages may state the format, entry window, entry fee, gameplay-message price, sponsorship arrangement, capacity, approval requirements, start time, fixtures, group tables, qualification places, prizes and special rules. Review these details before entering.
- An entry may be automatic, pending organiser approval, wait-listed, rejected, cancelled or assigned to a squad. If a pending paid application is rejected before acceptance, Arena returns its eligible entry Pitch Credits automatically.
- Where enabled, existing entrants may receive a notification when a new entrant joins.
- Entry fees and gameplay charges may be free, paid by the player, or sponsored from the organiser's prepaid budget.
- If an advertised minimum entry condition is not met and the tournament is cancelled, eligible entry Pitch Credits will be returned as displayed by the platform.
- Disqualification is separate from application rejection. An entrant who was already accepted may be disqualified for a rule or integrity issue and does not receive an automatic entry-fee refund merely because of the disqualification. Withdrawals, missed fixtures, inactivity or late arrival may also cause forfeiture without refund where this was disclosed or is necessary to protect the competition.
- Fixtures may be rescheduled, paused, replayed or administratively resolved where technical failure, cheating, safety, moderation or competition integrity requires it.
Group standings are normally ordered by points and then the published tie-break criteria, such as goal difference and goals scored. Tournament-specific rules prevail where clearly displayed.
7. Creator tournaments
Eligible users may create public or private tournaments. A creator is responsible for accurate descriptions, lawful branding, sensible scheduling, entrant communications, moderation choices and sufficient sponsored gameplay budget where the creator elects to pay.
Arena controls platform pricing, competition integrity and technical rules. Public tournaments may require review before publication. We may reject, request changes to, unpublish, pause or cancel a creator tournament that is misleading, unsafe, unlawful, underfunded, inactive, abusive, technically unworkable or damaging to users or Arena.
A creator must not promise prizes, sponsorship, refunds or benefits that the creator cannot lawfully and promptly provide. Unless Arena expressly states that it is the prize provider, the creator or named sponsor remains responsible for creator-funded prizes and related taxes, permits and disclosures.
8. Pitch Credits, wallet purchases and payment providers
Pitch Credits ("PC") are limited digital gameplay value used within Arena. They are not a bank deposit, electronic money account, investment, cryptocurrency or general-purpose payment instrument. PC cannot be withdrawn, transferred for cash or redeemed outside Arena unless a separate written redemption programme expressly permits it.
Before payment, Arena will display the amount, currency, credits and enabled payment method. Payments may be processed by third-party gateways such as Paystack, Squad, Ogaranya or another enabled provider. Their terms may also apply. Arena does not store full card details handled directly by a payment provider.
Credits are added only after payment is verified. Pending, failed, reversed, disputed, fraudulent or duplicated payments may be withheld, reversed or investigated. You must not initiate a chargeback for a correctly delivered purchase without first contacting support.
Except where required by law, expressly displayed, or approved after investigation, used PC, consumed Arena Pass access and completed gameplay charges are not refundable. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Where Arena cancels an eligible transaction or tournament, the remedy may be restoration of PC, replacement access, replay or monetary refund depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Arena Marketplace
The Arena Marketplace is the platform storefront for eligible digital access, training services and other products. Product pages control the price, duration, scope and fulfilment terms. Digital entitlements such as Arena Coach or reward-access passes may start immediately, queue behind an existing entitlement, or be limited to a named tournament. Future physical products such as shirts or stickers may have separate delivery, inventory, return and shipping terms before checkout is enabled.
Marketplace purchases must not alter match attributes, shooting accuracy, player strength or any other competitive outcome merely because a user paid. Arena may sell training, analysis, access, convenience, merchandise and similar benefits while preserving the same match rules for competitors.
9. Arena Passes and Telco/VAS subscriptions
Arena Pass
An Arena Pass may provide time-limited or usage-limited access to qualifying AI games, friend games, leaderboards or other benefits. The product page controls the applicable duration, price, allowance and eligibility. Where more than one entitlement is active, Arena may consume the entitlement that expires first.
Telco/VAS
A Telco subscription may be activated, renewed, parked, suspended, cancelled or expired through your network or VAS provider. The provider may bill your airtime or account according to the product shown during subscription. Allowances, renewal frequency, cancellation methods and network charges may differ by product.
A successful Telco callback may create or update an Arena account linked to the subscribed mobile number and send an onboarding or renewal message. You remain responsible for managing the subscription through the provider's permitted channel. Billing disputes involving airtime deduction may require investigation with the Telco or aggregator, while Arena will assist with records within its control.
Unused Telco or Arena Pass allowances may expire and do not convert to PC or cash. Casual play may continue after an allowance is exhausted where the product and game rules permit it.
Arena Coach
Arena Coach is a training and analysis feature available only before or after gameplay. It is deliberately unavailable while you are participating in a live match, including access to saved coaching reports during that live match. Coach access does not change player strength, command success probability, shooting accuracy or other match-engine attributes.
Coach analysis is grounded in a restricted Arena dataset. It may use your own recorded play history and, when preparing for an opponent, information about that opponent only from matches you personally played against that opponent. Arena Coach must not use another player's unrelated match history as private scouting material. Where an external language-model or conversation provider is enabled, Arena sends only the prepared coaching context needed for the requested analysis; the provider does not receive direct database access through the Coach feature. Arena may maintain a persistent, pseudonymous Coach conversation thread for the same player so previous coaching sessions can provide continuity. The underlying language model may change without changing the Arena Coach product, while Arena's access, privacy and live-game restrictions continue to apply.
Automated or language-model coaching can be incomplete or mistaken. Treat coaching as training guidance, not a guarantee of performance. If Arena has insufficient recorded evidence, the Coach should say so rather than inventing a statistic or opponent tendency.
10. Leaderboards, seasons, prizes and payout accounts
Arena may operate AI, player-versus-player, tournament, group-stage or other leaderboards. Rankings may consider points, wins, goals, goal difference, speed, qualifying matches, published tie-breaks and anti-abuse adjustments.
Reward seasons and prize competitions are subject to the displayed rules, eligibility conditions, verification, claim deadlines, active-subscription requirements where stated, and availability of the announced prize. Arena may suspend reward counting, exclude non-qualifying games, remove manipulated results, withhold a disputed reward, or require human review.
Potential winners may be required to provide an accurate payout account and additional identity or eligibility information. Submission of bank details does not guarantee payment. A reward may be forfeited where the winner is ineligible, cannot be verified, misses the claim deadline, breaches these Terms, supplies false information or is prohibited by law from receiving it.
Recipients are responsible for personal taxes, declarations and obligations arising from a reward unless applicable law requires otherwise. Arena may publish a winner's nickname, handle, team, score, position and prize status.
11. Public information, comments and user content
Your nickname, Arena handle, avatar, team name, team logo, uploaded images, tournament identity, match score, commands converted into commentary, statistics, standings, leaderboard position, winner status, spectator comments and Tournament Talk comments may be displayed publicly.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Arena2Connect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt, moderate, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate, promote and improve Arena and the relevant tournament or match. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active use, except for lawful retention, backups, completed competition records and content already shared in public match history.
You must have rights to uploaded names, logos, photographs, banners and other materials. Do not upload confidential information, unlawful content, impersonations, hate speech, threats, explicit sexual material, malware, copyright-infringing material or personal data about another person without authority.
Tournament organisers may configure tournament conversations as off, limited to approved tournament participants, or open to all signed-in Arena members. A competition may have a tournament-wide conversation plus separate group and knockout-stage conversations. Direct @mentions may notify the mentioned tournament participant by email or an Arena channel. Ordinary comments do not generate an email to every participant.
Tournament Talk is intended for contextual competition banter and fixture discussion; the Arena Clubhouse remains the broader community forum. Arena Community Rules apply to both. Organisers and Arena administrators may hide or remove comments, review reports, temporarily mute a member from a particular tournament conversation, disable comments, or archive completed-tournament conversations. Existing comments may be retained for moderation, audit and competition history.
Arena Clubhouse
The Arena Clubhouse is a moderated community area for tactics, Arena gameplay, tournaments and football discussion. Administrators control categories and may make a category open, read-only or hidden, lock or pin topics, hide posts, resolve reports and impose forum-only participation sanctions.
Before posting, a member may be required to accept the current Community Rules. Clubhouse content must not be used for begging or money requests, posting bank/account details, advertising or unsolicited promotion, harassment, privacy violations, impersonation, spam, match fixing, collusion, selling Arena accounts or Pitch Credits, selling tournament positions, or manipulating reward eligibility.
Forum-only mutes, suspensions and bans restrict Clubhouse participation and do not automatically suspend gameplay access. Serious conduct that also threatens safety, legality, security or competition integrity may separately affect the Arena account under these Terms.
12. Acceptable use and fair play
You must not:
- cheat, collude, farm results, exploit bugs, manipulate timing or arrange artificial matches;
- use bots, scripts, emulators, unauthorised clients or excessive automated requests;
- circumvent subscription, wallet, entry, message-charge, verification, suspension or reward limits;
- reverse engineer, probe, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to Arena or connected providers;
- harass, deceive, threaten, spam or unlawfully market to other users;
- launder value, misuse payment instruments, submit false disputes or use Arena for unlawful activity;
- sell, rent or transfer an account, entitlement, tournament place or reward without written permission.
We may use automated controls and human review to investigate suspected abuse. Deliberately exploiting an error instead of reporting it may result in reversal of gains, disqualification or suspension.
13. Emails, SMS and platform notifications
We may send transactional messages needed to operate the Service, including verification, password reset, login/security, Telco onboarding, subscription, match, invitation, tournament, entrant, moderation, payment, wallet, leaderboard, reward and support messages.
Where permitted, we may also send newsletters, product updates, tournament invitations and promotional messages to an account email or phone. You may object to direct marketing or ask us to stop promotional communication. Opting out of marketing does not prevent essential service, legal or security messages.
Delivery is not guaranteed. Spam filters, DND settings, network restrictions and provider policies may block links or messages. Action emails may include a visible URL that can be copied into a browser.
14. Availability, maintenance and changes
Arena is provided on an "as available" basis. We may maintain, test, update or replace gameplay, scoring, pricing, channels, interfaces, tournaments, passes, subscriptions, leaderboards or security controls. We aim to preserve completed results and financial ledgers but may correct obvious calculation, duplication, display or technical errors.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, message delivery, compatibility with every device, or permanent support for any third-party channel. Scheduled and emergency maintenance, internet failure, Telco failure, payment-provider failure, force majeure and concurrent user activity may affect service.
Material changes that affect future paid access or competition participation will be communicated or displayed where reasonably practicable. Continuing to use Arena after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; we may require fresh consent for material changes.
15. Suspension, termination and account deletion
You may request account deletion through Settings or support. Deletion may prevent future access and may not be reversible. We may retain or de-identify completed match, wallet, payment, reward, fraud, moderation and legal records as explained in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is a Terms breach, fraud, security risk, legal requirement, harmful conduct, chargeback abuse, duplicate-account abuse or threat to competition integrity. Where appropriate, we will provide a reason and an opportunity to contact support.
Termination does not remove obligations accrued before termination. Any treatment of unused PC, passes, subscriptions, pending rewards or creator budgets will depend on the reason for termination, displayed product rules and mandatory law.
16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arena is supplied without warranties that every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, suitable for a particular purpose or produce a particular match, ranking or reward outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights, liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited.
Subject to those mandatory rights, Arena2Connect will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, opportunity, reputation or data; third-party channel or payment failure; unauthorised account use caused by your failure to protect credentials; or loss arising from rules and risks clearly disclosed before participation.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to a paid Service will not exceed the amount you paid directly for the affected Service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires a greater remedy.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Before commencing formal proceedings, you and Arena2Connect should attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through Arena support, except where urgent relief or a regulatory complaint is appropriate.
Unresolved disputes may be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria. Nothing prevents a consumer or data subject from contacting an applicable regulator, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Nigeria Data Protection Commission or Nigerian Communications Commission, where the matter falls within that regulator's mandate.
18. Contact and legal notices
The Service is operated by Arena2Connect.
Support requests may be submitted through the Arena contact page.
Notices to you may be delivered through the website, your registered email, phone number or linked channel. Keep those contact details current.
